Four fun things to do at The Bascom September 14th

September might be slow in the mountains, but it's hopping at The Bascom.

On Monday, Sept. 14, consider four fun-filled art activities to enjoy:

*A lecture by acclaimed painter Adrian Deckbar, “Gaining a Perspective on Drawing,” will be held Monday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. Cost is $15/$10 Bascom members (free to Deckbar’s Bascom students).

*Art class “Figure Study Sessions with a Live Model,” by Laurence Holden, will be Sept. 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. for beginning to advanced students. Cost is $20/$15 Bascom members.

*The Bascom’s Young Artist Program will be begin Sept. 14 through Dec. 16 for beginning to advanced students from pre-school to pre-teen. Classes are held at The Bascom in Highlands Mondays 3 to 4 pm (grades 2–5); Tuesdays 11 to 11:30 am (preschoolers) and 3 to 4 pm (grades K–1); and Wednesdays 12:30 to 1:30 pm (homeschoolers ages 4–7), 1:30 to 2:30 pm (homeschoolers ages 8–14), and 3 to 4 pm (grades K–2). Cost is $15 for a six-class session, preschool; $30 for a six-class session, homeschoolers and grades 1–5.

*Art workshop “Gaining a Perspective on Drawing and Painting,” by Adrian Deckbar, will be held Sept. 14-18 from 1 to 4 p.m. for beginning to advanced students. Cost is $300/$275 Bascom members.
